Cedric’s story

Illustrated Tiny Chihuahua Cedric wearing a blue bow-tie.

Cedric was born in Tallinn, Estonia, on January 13, 2012. The runt of his litter, he was no bigger than a matchbox. He was born with skeletal dwarfism and a severe overbite. Together, these features give him a distinctive look: a small body, a big head and his signature hanging tongue, which appeared after dental surgery.

Because of his unique needs, Cedric had difficulty finding a family. His caring grandmother gave him to us, and six months later we brought him home to Canada. To keep his Estonian family updated, Cedric’s mum started a YouTube channel. Viewers around the world soon joined in, and his videos have shared smiles and positivity ever since.

Maya’s story

Illustration of Tiny Chihuahua Maya wearing a pink bow on her head.

Maya entered our lives as a ray of sunshine on September 2, 2023. Born on October 15, 2016, she is a short-haired rescue. We know little about her early life; after moving through several homes, she found her forever place with us. She was initially afraid of men and soon grew comfortable enough to become a daddy’s girl.

Cedric’s health challenges led us to look for a companion who could be his little sister, share meals and brighten his days. Maya fit right into the family, and the bond they share reminds us every day of the power of love and family.
