How to Measure Your Dog’s Paw

  1. Choose a flat, solid surface where your dog feels comfortable and secure.
  2. Have your dog stand naturally with weight on their paws.
  3. Gently place one of your dog’s front paws on a piece of paper. (Front paws are typically larger than back paws.)
  4. Carefully mark:
    • the front of the longest toe including the nail
    • the back of the paw pad
    • the widest points on the left and right sides
  5. Measure:
    • Paw length: from the back of the paw pad to the tip of the longest toe or nail.
    • Paw width: the widest part of the paw.
  6. Tell your dog they did a great job and give them a small treat.
  7. Use the measurements to select the correct size from the chart below.
