How to measure your dog’s paws

  1. Dog standing with paws on a flat sheet.
    1. Stand on paper

    With your dog standing, place one front paw on paper so it bears weight. Front paws are usually larger than back paws.

  2. Pencil tracing the outline around a paw and its nails.
    2. Trace the paw

    Trace around that paw while it bears weight, including the nails.

  3. Paw outline with rulers showing length and width.
    3. Measure the traced outline

    Measure the paw outline you traced on the paper. Length: from the longest traced nail tip to the back edge of the outline. Width: across the widest part of the outline.

Compare both length and width with the chart. Re-measure if you are between sizes; ask us for help if the fit is unclear.
