Goodbye Cedric
Goodbye little man đÂ
Cedric passed away peacefully in my arms on Sunday. His little big heart gave up after a short battle with complications from a heart failure. We were grateful to have those last moments with him to say our goodbyes, give him a million forehead kisses and tell him how deeply loved he was by us, by all of you. In his final moments he looked at me with his beautiful blueberry eyes that were full of love and it felt like a goodbye. I see that look now whenever I close my eyes, that last heartfelt goodbye. He was ready to go and we all take such great comfort in that fact. He didnât have to suffer or feel scared, it just was his time and he was at peace with it.
We will forever remember him as the most unique, funniest, kindest, smartest and cutest tiny chihuahua star. He was born with many health issues due to his tiny size, but that never stopped him from living his best life. He was stubborn and always wanted his independence. Even last week he made an epic stair climb while I wasnât looking, even though he knew we didnât let him do it anymore because of his heart condition. But that was so much like Cedric, he had such a strong will to be independent despite his size or health. He enjoyed his life till his final moments. A little man with a big love for life!
We will take some time to grieve in private, but I will make sure to celebrate his life with all of you once I have the strength again. For now our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. Iâm writing this through a fog of tears and a deep sharp pain in my chest. Iâm broken.
We miss you so much Cedric. Our little man, our sunshine, our moon, our stars, our heart, our everything.
