After trying boots that never stayed on Cedric and Maya’s tiny paws, we had given up looking. Then one day, a fan sent a set through fan mail.
They weren’t the first boots fans had sent us. They were the first that ever stayed on Cedric and Maya.
That’s why we carry them. They aren’t the best-made or most durable boots. But for our little dogs, they finally solved the problem we’d stopped trying to solve.
Our experience, shared honestly
“Small dog” doesn’t always mean our kind of small.
If we had a coin every time someone said, “My cat is bigger than your dog,” the tiny-dog club could fund its own little city.
A dog four times Cedric or Maya’s size can still be called “small.” Even boots from leading small-dog brands we tried were too roomy or too stiff for their slender legs—and slipped right off.
These are simple, flexible fabric boots with an adjustable elastic band and a little faux-fur lining. That softness made the difference for Cedric and Maya.

The clearest way to choose is to know what these boots do well—and what to expect from them.
A useful match
- Small paws, with length and width checked against the size chart.

Know their limits
- Visible wear can arrive quickly; in our regular use, within about a month.
- Water-resistant, rather than protection for prolonged wet conditions.
- Not a durable boot for long, rough hikes.
How to measure those little paws.
Measure one front paw if you can: front paws are usually larger than back paws. Check both its length and width against the sizing chart.
Stand on paper
Place one front paw on paper while your dog stands naturally, with their weight on that paw.
Trace the paw
Trace around that paw, including the nails, while your dog is standing on it.
Measure the outline
On the paper, measure the outline you traced. Length: from the longest nail tip to the back edge. Width: across the widest part. Compare both measurements with the sizing chart above.
A little patience
for the first try.
Try them indoors first. Make sure the paw sits properly inside, adjust the fastening and let your dog take a few steps while you check the fit.
Don’t overtighten. Recheck comfort and how the boots sit before heading outside. A suitable paw measurement and careful fastening both matter.

They are a high quality product. The colors are vibrant, the fabric is high quality with the softest fleece inside that makes it very comfortable for tiny little feet. The strap to fasten to keep the boots on are easy to use, comfortable for tiny legs and very adjustable.
I highly recommend them, especially if finding boots for tiny paws are impossible.
Great customer support!!! Tinychihuahuashop email me a couple of weeks after I received my order asking how the boots were working out. I had purchased one pair of boots for my pom-chi and was unable to get all four boots on her. She would shake one off or pull one off as I tried to put the others on. I emailed back describing this problem. That same day I received tips (including a video) on how to get the boots on Bell. The tips worked! All four boots went on and we went outside and all was good. I've just ordered 3 more sets in different colors. The only tweak I will try is adding a layer inside on the bottom for more water resistance and warmth.
I have these booties in four colors and two different sizes for my Chihuahuas. They do not have lining on the sole, so I added my own for extra protection. Before using these, my dogs could only tolerate being outside for a few seconds. Now, with their booties and coats on, they are able to go outside comfortably and do their business.
I would absolutely purchase these again and would simply add padding to the inside sole as needed.

Easy to put on and they stayed on! Nori loves running zoomie laps in the snow, so I was expecting for these to go flying off at some point. 😂 but they stayed on! No snowballs between her toes or frozen toe beans. She felt warm enough to have a sploot after her run and they were a breeze to get off and hang up to dry. 💖
I couldn’t believe it - the booties actually *did* stay on for the whole walk, as long as they were the right size - just loose enough to slip on before tightening toggle firmly to make sure they don’t slip off. They don’t seem very waterproof, but for dry snow and salt on the sidewalks, they will be great.
Finally found the perfect! Boots that fit, easy to put on and she loves them!

I have bought my Maltese Maisy several different pairs of winter boots in the past with no luck. They were always way too big or clunky for her little paws, even when I bought their smallest size. These boots fit her perfectly, and they are light enough to not be cumbersome for her.
Coco is loving her new boots and so are we! They keep her feet dry and no worries about frozen footsies or salt! They are easy to put on her feet and most importantly they stay on!
I love the winter boots! Only boots that have fit my luna girl! She has to get used to them but xxs was perfect for her.
first pair of boots I’ve tried for my Papillon that have actually stayed on and kept his feet warm and dry!! XXs is a perfect fit on him!! He used to cry and hold his paws up on the snowy, salty roads but now he just trots along happily!! Love these boots so much!!!
These work so well for our 6 pound Chihuahua! We ordered the pink ones, and absolutely love them!
I have a 5-pound Yorkie mix and it has been difficult to find snow boots that fit my dog's petite paws. My dog has a hard time keeping still so I measured my dog's paws by wetting them and stamping them on a piece of paper to measure them more accurately. I ordered an XS which fit my dog perfectly. The fastener drawstring has been great for keeping the boots from slipping off her paws. The boots also wash well, I put them on a gentle cold cycle in the washing machine and they've held up well so far.
My only complaint would be that the boots starting fraying after 1-2 uses (before washing), but I expect it to last us through this winter. I may have to purchase more in the future.

You’re also absolutely right about durability. These boots can start to look a bit well-loved fairly quickly, even Maya’s own pairs look 'a little rough', and she still happily wears them during her winter garden tours 😄 They may not stay “pretty,” but they do remain usable through the season.
That said, we genuinely wish they were more durable. We’re actively looking for longer-lasting alternatives that still stay on tiny paws, but so far, these are the only ones we’ve found that reliably do. The moment we find something truly more durable and secure, we’ll be very excited to share it.

I initially bought these after seeing multiple chihuahuas wearing them in the snow online. They fit my long hair chihuahua well and stayed on which I was happy about. However, when we got back home from our neighborhood walk the inside of all four boots were wet. It was not actively raining at the time of our walk but the sidewalk and grass was wet from the last rain. Since we live in Northern California we tend to get a lot of rain over the winter months so I was hoping these would keep his paws warm and dry. Unfortunately they did not. I will continue to search for waterproof booties.

You’re absolutely right though: these boots are designed mainly for cold, snow, and salted sidewalks, and they aren’t fully waterproof for consistently wet conditions like rainy sidewalks or grass.
We’re actively searching for a truly waterproof option that actually stays on tiny paws, but so far, we haven’t found one we’re confident in either, so we’re very much in the same boat. These are the perfect booties for small paws. The sizing is exactly as noted on the chart. My baby is a XS. The material is great quality and waterproof, plus they stay on. I’m obsessed with these boots. I just order a second pair incase I lose one lol. I’ve tried the balloon type ones and the rubber ones that look like crocs and even the socks but nothing has ever fit this well. My baby walks so good in them and they just look so good.
Churro doesn't like to go out in the rain or get her feet wet. The XS fit her perfectly (5.5 pounds). She didn't try to run immediately back inside when it was time to go out in the rain to use the bathroom. The color is also super cute!
We have been looking for the right booties for a while, the smallest size is always still too big & wont stay on those thin chihuahua legs! I am SO happy to have found these, they are perfect!
